Undeniably, 2021’s Chinese New Year (CNY) is remarkably different from what we have experienced before. If before, Lotus’s volunteers could help spread CNY directly to old folks by visiting and spring cleaning the homes, this year we were only able to send them household goods and necessities in the form of food and other essentials.

The delivery of these items was done by Lotus’s Extra Penang, Extra Cheras, Bukit Indah, Melaka Cheng, and the newest addition to the family – Teluk Intan over the past weekend, and just in time for CNY. Apart from the goods, we have also prepared pre-packed meals, souvenirs, and handwritten greeting cards from our store colleagues for the folks.

The homes that we have engaged are: Rumah Orang Tua Uzur Penang, Rumah Syukur Penyayang Penang, Tong Sim Care Center, Warm Home Care Center, Pusat Penjagaan Lily and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anning.
